When And why did you become a SCORE Counselor?
I became a counselor in 2011 after semi-retirement from the corporate and not for profit world after a 40 year career in a broad variety of industries. I have always enjoyed teaching, coaching and helping others with business issues. Now that I have the time, I look forward to sharing my business knowledge with others and participate in whatever way I can in making them successful.

Business Background:
Over 40 years in corporate America in industries ranging from Sandpaper to contact lenses and in organizations as large as Fortune 50 companies to start-ups. My career has primarily been in Financial and Operating management but has also included general management and consulting. I have worked in multi-national, multi-divisional environments dealing with factories and marketing in the US, Asia, Africa, Europe, South America and Australia. Products have ranged from consumer electronics to defense to contact lenses and finally a not for profit.

Educational Background:
B.S. in Economics and Finance from City College of New York, MBA in Finance from Loyola of Baltimore and taught Financial Management in the MBA program at Frostburg State College.

Self-Description:
My wife and I love to travel the world and spending time with our two grandsons on the other side of the country. I enjoy reading, skiing, fishing, live performances such as theater, orchestras and concerts, movies and cards with friends. I also enjoy and actively tutor students in over 16 subject areas as well as volunteering for my local religious organization. Finally, I cook, workout and enjoy puzzles of various types.
